Payment Posting Specialist – US Healthcare (RCM)
About the Role
Neolytix is a US-headquartered healthcare management services company supporting medical practices, groups, and health systems across the US. We are hiring a Payment Posting Specialist to join our Gurugram Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. You will be responsible for accurately posting insurance and patient payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining clean, audit-ready records that keep our clients' revenue cycle running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
• Post ERAs (electronic remittance advices), EOBs, and manual payments from insurance carriers and patients into the billing system with accuracy.
• Apply payments, adjustments, write-offs, and denials to the correct patient accounts and claim lines.
• Reconcile daily batches against bank deposits and remittance totals; flag and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify and route denials, underpayments, and short-pays to the appropriate AR / denials team.
• Handle unapplied and unidentified cash, and clear credit balances per client SOPs.
• Maintain productivity and quality (accuracy) targets defined for the process.
• Escalate posting issues, missing remittances, or payer trends to the team lead promptly.
• Ensure all activity complies with HIPAA and client data-handling standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Payment Posting within US healthcare RCM / medical billing.
• Working knowledge of ERAs, EOBs, CPT / ICD codes, adjustment and denial (CARC / RARC) codes, and the RCM workflow.
• Experience with a US medical billing platform / clearinghouse (e.g., AdvancedMD, Athena, Kareo, eClinicalWorks, or similar).
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and reconciliation skills.
• Comfortable working the full night shift onsite in Gurugram.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Graduate in any discipline.
Good to Have
• Exposure to denial management or AR follow-up.
• Familiarity with payer portals and lockbox / EFT reconciliation.
