Assistant Manager / Senior Consultant equivalent

4–7 years

Office-first, Gurugram (hybrid flex after 6 months)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Neolytix is building a consulting practice focused on payer contract analytics for healthcare providers across the United States. Using proprietary data assets and analytical methodologies, we help providers benchmark reimbursement performance, identify optimization opportunities, and develop data-driven strategies for payer negotiations.

This role leads the analytical delivery of client-facing consulting engagements — from scoping and data acquisition through analysis, insight generation, and final presentation to US-based provider clients. You will partner with a US-based senior leader who drives business development and client relationships, and manage a small India-based analyst team supporting data processing and research.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Consulting Delivery (60%)

  • Lead payer contract analytics engagements from kickoff to final deliverable — scoping, data ingestion, analysis, insight synthesis, and client-ready output

  • Build analytical studies that quantify reimbursement performance gaps and identify optimization opportunities across payer contracts, specialties, and geographies

  • Develop data-driven deliverables including benchmarking analyses, financial impact models, and strategic recommendations for provider clients

  • Present findings to US-based client stakeholders including practice administrators, CFOs, and VPs of Managed Care

  • Translate complex data patterns into business narratives that non-technical decision-makers can act on

Methodology & IP Development (20%)

  • Maintain and enhance proprietary analytical frameworks, benchmarking models, and standardized engagement playbooks

  • Build repeatable, version-controlled analysis pipelines (SQL, dbt, Python) that reduce per-engagement delivery time and improve consistency

  • Document methodologies to ensure analytical work is scalable and institutionally retained

Team Development & Collaboration (20%)

  • Manage and mentor 2–3 junior analysts on data processing, research, and preliminary analysis tasks

  • Quality-review all team output before it reaches clients

  • Partner with US-based leadership on engagement scoping, pricing, and pipeline prioritization

  • Collaborate with internal analytics teams on shared data infrastructure and tooling

WHAT YOU BRING

Must-Have

  • 4–7 years of experience in analytics consulting, healthcare analytics, or a related advisory role with a track record of producing client-facing deliverables

  • Demonstrated ability to take a data problem, structure an analytical approach, and produce actionable recommendations

  • Strong SQL skills; working proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis

  • Experience managing or mentoring junior analysts

  • Comfort presenting analytical findings to senior stakeholders (in English, to US-based clients across time zones)

  • Exposure to structured engagement delivery: scoping, milestone management, deliverable review cycles

Strong-Prefer (Any Two or More)

  • US healthcare domain experience — payer contracting, reimbursement, claims analytics, managed care, or revenue cycle

  • Experience with payer rate data, fee schedules, or price transparency datasets

  • Background at a healthcare analytics firm (Cotiviti, Optum GCC, EXL Healthcare, WNS, IQVIA, Milliman, Avalere) or the healthcare consulting practice of a Big 4 / mid-tier firm

  • Experience with dbt, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or similar modern data stack components

  • Familiarity with gain-share or performance-based consulting models

Nice-to-Have

  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree

  • Experience in understanding reimbursements for CPT/ ICD codes with Payers

  • Experience in adjacent analytical consulting: insurance pricing, actuarial analysis, pharma market access, provider network adequacy

  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or other process/project management credentials

WHAT WE OFFER

  • End-to-end engagement ownership. You lead client engagements from scoping through final presentation. The analytical work and the client relationship are yours to drive.

  • Direct client exposure. You will present to US healthcare executives as a core part of the role, working across time zones with senior decision-makers.

  • Practice-building opportunity. This practice is in an early growth stage. You will shape the methodology, playbooks, and team as it scales.

  • Performance-linked upside. Beyond base compensation, you participate in delivery commissions and engagement-based incentives tied to the revenue your work generates.

  • US domain expertise partnership. You will work alongside a US-based senior leader with 25+ years of payer and provider contracting experience across major national health plans and health systems.
